Horizon Science Academy Blood Drive

Help your community by donating critically needed blood at the Horizon Science Academy Blood Drive, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Horizon Science Academy - McKinley Park, 2245 W. Pershing Road, Chicago.

Organized by the school's FIRST 5125 Hawks on the Horizon robotics team in partnership with the American Red Cross, the blood drive helps contribute to a resource that cannot be manufactured that is needed by hospitals all over the nation.

Teens 16 and older must get a parent's or guardian's permission to donate. (More information is available here.) Spots at the blood drive are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees should register in advance on the event's signup page at http://tinyurl.com/hothblooddrive.
