DESCRIPTION:Become a tutor and help adult immigrants learn English at Aquin
 as Literacy Center's tutor training\, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday\, April
  29\, 2017\, at the center at 3540 S. Hermitage Ave.\, Chicago. This is th
 e second of a required two-part training program that also includes a 6 p.
 m. to 9 p.m. session on the preceding day (Friday\, April 28).\nOnce train
 ed\, each tutor will work with a student for 90 minutes per week between 9
  a.m. and 8 p.m. on Mondays through Wednesdays or Thursdays between 9 a.m.
  and 5 p.m. based on individuals' schedules. All tutoring takes place at t
 he center. Knowledge of another language is not required of tutors — instr
 uction takes place in English — however tutors must be native or near-nati
 ve English speakers. A total of 13 hours of training is required before be
 coming a tutor\, including three hours following the tutor training sessio
 ns. After tutors complete training\, each will receive a certificate and 6
  month membership from ProLiteracy.\nA one-time fee of $25 pays for the co
 st of tutor training materials and refreshments during the workshops. Part
