DESCRIPTION:Become a tutor and help adult immigrants learn English at Aquin
 as Literacy Center's tutor training\, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday\, March 9
 \, 2018\, at the center at 1751 W. 35th St.\, Chicago. This is the first o
 f a required two-part training program that also includes a 9 a.m. to 4 p.
 m. session on the following day (Saturday\, March 10).\nOnce trained\, eac
 h tutor will work with a student for 90 minutes per week between 9 a.m. an
 d 8 p.m. on Mondays through Wednesdays or Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p
 .m. based on individuals' schedules. All tutoring takes place at the cente
 r. Knowledge of another language is not required of tutors — instruction t
 akes place in English — however tutors must be native or near-native Engli
 sh speakers. A total of 13 hours of training is required before becoming a
  tutor\, including three hours following the tutor training sessions. Afte
 r tutors complete training\, each will receive a certificate from and six-
 month membership to ProLiteracy.\nA one-time fee of $25 pays for the cost 
 of tutor training materials and refreshments during the workshops. Partici
