Get to Know Your Lagoon: Outdoor Ecology Education

Youth 11-15 years old can learn about the organisms that reside at the McKinley Park lagoon at Get to Know Your Lagoon: Outdoor Ecology Education, 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 28, 2016, in McKinley Park, 2210 W. Pershing Rd., Chicago, IL.

This free outdoor education event will explore the fish, bugs, waterfowl and aquatic plants living in the lagoon, led by aquatic biologist Sam Hertel and two other biologists from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Shedd Aquarium. Kids will participate in collecting bugs with small nets, a nature scavenger hunt and learn about fish in the lagoon.
