Engage in the food fight at the Dumpling Battle, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Marz Community Brewing Co., 3630 S. Iron St., Chicago.
Ten cooks and chefs in Chicago will present their best version of the dumpling — fried, boiled, baked, or steamed — for the honor of being crowned the Dumpling Queen or King. Guests will vote for the best dumpling, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, and a WTF award.
Participants include 3 Little Pigs, Avec, Heritage, Jook Sing, Lilac Tiger, Nathan Kim from Obelix, Nine Bar, Taco Sublime, Thattu and Zach McDowell.
Proceeds from paid admission to the event go to the non-profit Public Media Institute.
