The Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) is a City of Chicago grant program available to commercial and industrial businesses. Funding sources include the Archer/Western Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district.

Small business owners and property owners that lease to businesses in the Archer/Western SBIF District can receive reimbursement grants of up to $100,000 for commercial projects to cover the cost of eligible remodeling work. The SBIF application period for the Archer/Western TIF will be open May 1 to May 31, 2018.

Presented by Jake Stern of Somercor, the event is hosted by 12th Ward Alderman George Cardenas with the support of 11th Ward Alderman Patrick Thompson and 15th Ward Alderman Raymond Lopez.
