Pigasus Beer Release and Pat Thomas Reading

To commemmorate the 50th anniversary of the Yippie's nomination of Pigasus for president of the United States, Marz Community Brewing Co. is hosting the Pigasus Beer Release and Pat Thompson Reading, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at the Marz tap room, 3630 S. Iron St., Chicago.

Join Thompson as he reads from his new book, Did It! From Yippie To Yuppie: Jerry Rubin, An American Revolutionary. Steve Krackow will also conduct a short question-and-answer session with Thomposon, and Marz will release its new beer Pigasus, a strawberry milkshake double India Pale Ale with Lactose and vanilla.

Thompson's book is the first biography of the infamous and ubiquitous Jerry Rubin, co-founder of the Yippie Party, anti-war activist, Chicago Eight defendant and proponent of the yuppie era.
