Valor Games Midwest

Starting on Thursday, August 19,

All-abilities veteran athletes will compete at the Valor Games Midwest on Wednesday, August 19, 2021, in McKinley Park, 2210 W. Pershing Road, Chicago.

The Valor Games Midwest are a three-day Paralympic sports competition for disabled veterans and wounded or sick servicemen. On August 19, McKinley Park plays host to biathlon, powerlifting and table tennis competitions, which precede rowing and track and field at Soldier Field on August 17, and archery and cycling at Lincoln Park on August 18.

The competition, hosted by the Chicago Park District, is open to all disabled veteran athletes, with no previous experience required.

Athletes can get more information and apply to participate on the Valor Games Midwest web page on the Chicago Park District website through Friday, July 16, 2021. Applicants will be notified of their status on or before July 23, and priority will be given to residents of the Midwest states of the U.S., including Illinois.
