World's Largest Swimming Lesson

Join community members and thousands around Chicago and the globe for the World's Largest Swimming Lesson, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the McKinley Park pool, 2210 W. Pershing Rd., Chicago. This event seeks to break the Guinness World Record to spread the word that swimming lessons do save lives. (The latest record was set last year.)

This event is open to all ages and for all swim levels: non-swimmers, beginners and swimmers. Children younger than 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete a waiver before participating. The lesson wll begin promptly at 6 p.m. and will be one hour long.
