The McKinley Park News serves Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood and our residents, institutions, enterprises, friends and fans. We publish original local news and information about our neighborhood, as well as provide membership and communication services that empower our users and engender a strong community.
Our coverage exclusively focuses on Chicago's official McKinley Park Community Area and adjacent industrial districts. We cover the area between the South Branch of the Chicago River on the north, the South Fork of the South Branch of the Chicago River (aka "Bubbly Creek") on the east, the Norfolk Southern Ashland Yard rail depot on the south, and the CSX railroad tracks and viaduct on the west.
The McKinley Park News is independently owned and operated by longtime neighborhood residents and stakeholders, building on decades of professional journalism experience in Chicago's news industry. Our goal is to build an enterprise that can sustain the livelihood of a neighborhood news publication.
