vote in the best of mckinley park rectJust a couple weeks remain until the conclusion of the 2025 Best of McKinley Park: our members’ choice contests to highlight all the great things in our neighborhood and pick this year’s community favorites.

Voting has continued since we started our inaugural Best of McKinley Park series this summer, and a number of contests now are neck and neck, with votes needed to break these ties!

As of the publication of this Letter from the Editor, the following Best of McKinley Park categories are tied:

We welcome your votes in all our categories, including many others that are quite close.

Leaders and Close Contests

Cadinho Bakery and Cafe has held the lead for Best Baked Goods and Best Coffee, but other competitors at times have been nipping at their heels. Hoyne Park has been a very strong contender for Best Hangout Spot against the Lagoon & Natural Area at McKinley Park.

A couple local enterprises are pulling away from the competition inside and across categories. Notable is Chile Toreado, which is in a strong lead for both Best Latin Cuisine and Best Sit-Down Restaurant.

Explore All Contestants

Note that we did retire a couple initial categories due to lack of multiple contestants, including Best Realtor and Best Employer (which we plan to bring back fully next year).

The Best of McKinley Park celebrates every contestant, and it’s our hope that readers like you will discover and explore all of the great shopping, services and community elements of our neighborhood.

Thanks for voting! This year’s Best of McKinley Park ends on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, and we eagerly look forward to sharing the winners with you and the rest of our community.
