Parents & Kids Swimming

Have fun in the water at Parents & Kids Swimming from 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays at the McKinley Park pool, 2210 W. Pershing Road, Chicago.

Parents & Kids Swimming allows a maximum of three children up to 18 years of age to accompany each adult in the pool. An adult must accompany children in the water.

Attendees should note the following McKinley Park pool rules and regulations:

• Obey life guards and follow pool rules.
• Everyone is required to shower before entering the pool area.
• Food and drink are not permitted in the pool area.
• No smoking is allowed in the pool area.
• Clean swimwear is required.
• No running is allowed on the pool deck.
• Only clean footwear (and wheelchairs) are allowed in the pool area. Attendees are not allowed to wear street clothes and street shoes on the pool deck.
• Persons with open wounds, excessive sunburn, unhealed abrasions or bandages of any kind cannot enter the water.
• SCUBA gear is not allowed in the pool.
• Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices may be used in the pool.
• Children 8 years and younger who are not taller than 8" above the shallow end must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
