Lap Swimming

Get fit at Lap Swimming from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the McKinley Park pool, 2210 W. Pershing Road, Chicago.

A paid membership is required for Lap Swimming: either $25 per month or $42 for three months.

Attendees should note the following McKinley Park pool rules and regulations:

• Obey life guards and follow pool rules.
• Everyone is required to shower before entering the pool area.
• Food and drink are not permitted in the pool area.
• No smoking is allowed in the pool area.
• Clean swimwear is required.
• No running is allowed on the pool deck.
• Only clean footwear (and wheelchairs) are allowed in the pool area. Attendees are not allowed to wear street clothes and street shoes on the pool deck.
• Persons with open wounds, excessive sunburn, unhealed abrasions or bandages of any kind cannot enter the water.
• SCUBA gear is not allowed in the pool.
• Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices may be used in the pool.
• Children 8 years and younger who are not taller than 8" above the shallow end must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
