McKinley Park Development Council Meeting

Engage with neighborhood development issues at the McKinley Park Development Council Meeting, 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, conducted online. This meeting was rescheduled from a week before, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

The February 2021 meeting will focus on discussion of the equitable Transit-Oriented Development chapter of the McKinley Park Neighborhood Plan, specifically talking about eTOD around the intersection of Archer and Leavitt by the 35/Archer Orange Line L stop.

On the docket is a presentation from the prospective developer of the southwest corner of the intersection, for the property at 3595 S. Archer Ave., Chicago. This was one of the proposed developments highlighted by 12th Ward Alderman George Cardenas at a 12th Ward Virtual Community Meeting on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

Also under discussion will be other intersections near the 35th/Archer El stop, including the vacant lot on the southwest corner of West 35th Street and South Leavitt Street, and the parking lot on the northwest corner of South Archer Avenue and South Leavitt Street.
