Ranger Tales: True Stories from America's National Parks

From Monday, July 9, 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm

Real-life events from America's national parks system are performed at Ranger Tales: True Stories from America's national Parks with Improv Playhouse, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at the McKinley Park branch of the Chicago Public Library, 1915 W. 35th St., Chicago.

Audiences will discover stories and facts they've never known in this funny and educational anthology exploring the Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone, the Everglades and more. Watch as actors retell and recreate these stories through the arts of theatre, storytelling, puppetry and music. Students will discover how their everyday choices right here in Chicago influence and affect the greater natural environment.

For many students, this may be their only exposure to the vast array of America's park systems, and the performance provides a learning guide filled with activities, context and suggested reading material to further engage students before and after the performance.

This program is for families with children ages 4 and up.
