Enviro Mystery with Project Syncere

From Thursday, July 12, 2018 11:00 am until 12:00 pm

Kids 9 to 11 years old can solve a science mystery at Enviro Mystery with Project Syncere, 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the McKinley Park branch of the Chicago Public Library, 1915 W. 35th St., Chicago.

During this workshop, students will work as environmental engineers and use their knowledge of soil and water to solve an environmental problem afflicting the plants and animals in a fictitious community. They will test the pH of soil and water throughout the town, compare data with historical trends in the city, consider how human behaviors may be contributing to the problem and present their findings concerning possible pollution sources to the mayor and citizens of the town. Do you think you can solve the enviro-mystery?
