Collected Pauses Exhibition Opening Reception

View the original artwork of Jeffrey Sanderson at the Collected Pauses Exhibition Opening Reception, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2023, at Alma Art and Interiors, 3636 S. Iron St., Chicago.

This exhibition runs at Alma Art and Interiors through March 1, 2023.

Alma writes about the artist and his work:

Engaged by the absences, by the breaks or empty places in the painted space, Sanderson’s paintings navigate color, proportions, and the tactile nature of paint. Any relation to recognizable forms, faces, and beyond that may appear at the beginning gets broken down to its compositional essence. These works reward a viewer who gives their time with an experience that's unique to them, consisting of their own reaction and inner dialogue with the work.
