Central Manufacturing District RFP Community Meeting
Hear feedback on three proposals for development at the Central Manufacturing District RFP Community Meeting, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at a to-be-announced location.
As previously reported here in the McKinley Park News, Chicago's Department of Planning and Development issued a Request For Proposal (RFP) for a long-underutilized set of properties at 1769 and 1717 W. Pershing Road, Chicago, including a massive, historic Central Manufacturing District warehouse and the vehicle shed and parking lot adjacent to it.
Three finalists were chosen by the city, including proposals from the IBT Group, LLC, Pershing Sound Solutions, LLC, and Quartermaster Outpost Studio, LLC. All three will present their proposals at the community meeting, including speaking to how they integrate with the community, provide local jobs, support local business and development, respond to neighborhood needs, showcase their designs, and meet the project's financial requirements.
