Damen Silos Demolition Meeting

Consideration of the adverse affects on nearby historic properties is the focus of the Damen Silos Demolition Meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the McKinley Park field house, 2210 W. Pershing Road, Chicago.

Hosted by the Chicago District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the regulation-mandated meeting is an opportunity for the public to comment on the demolition's affect, or not, on nearby historic properties, including the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal Historic District and Damen and Ashland avenue bridges.

Members of the public may provide three minutes of spoken testimony or submit comments in writing at the meeting. Emailed comments should be sent to colin.c.smalley@usace.army.mil and will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024.
