Aquinas Literacy Center, which offers free tutoring in English to non-English speaking adults, presents its annual Walk-a-thon. Funds raised by the event will support the work of the not-for-profit Center, which serves McKinley Park and the surrounding communities of Chicago’s Southwest Side.
The 5KAY walk (approximately 3 miles) honors the late Sister Kay Buechele, OP, a dedicated volunteer tutor and board member. Participants may download registration materials, and make a donation online at http://www.aquinasliteracycenter.org/donate.
