The James Dyson Foundation encourages young people to think differently, take risks and make mistakes. In this rapid prototyping challenge, children will experience the design process first hand – thinking, sketching, building and testing. Using cardboard, glue, bits of Dyson machines and lots of tape the kids will create their own solution to an everyday frustration. From backpacks that cool to robots that do chores – anything goes in this design space, including a bit of failure. Engineering will come alive as children begin to think like an engineer and realize their own engineering potential. For children age 9 years and older.
