Enjoy demonstrations and performance of the vibraphone at From Lionel Hampton to Thaddeus Tukes: The Story of Vibes in Chicago from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the McKinley Park branch of the Chicago Public Library, 1915 W. 35th St., Chicago.
In addition to performing, Thaddeus Tukes will discuss working with Chance the Rapper and exploring the pivotal role of the vibraphone in Chicago's African-American jazz community.
