The 2008 film Milk chronicles the story of Harvey Milk and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California's first openly gay elected official. The film screening is free. Milk is directed by Gus Van Sant and rated R.

The film screening is part of the Chicago Public Library's celebration of Pride Month, and it is supported by the Community Cinema program of the library system.
