Exit Zero Film Screening

Enjoy a night of local documentary film at the Exit Zero Film Screening at 8 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the McKinley Park field house 2210 W. Pershing Road, Chicago.

Exit Zero: An Industrial Family Story tells of the loss of Chicago's Southeast Side steel mills and the effect it has had on generations of the familiy of producer Christine Walley. Chris Boebel directed the film.

In addition to Exit Zero, the screening event also features local documentaries Yesterday, a tale of a Chicago neighborhood shop's losing fight against gentrification, and Save It, which profiles local archivists. The screenings are part of the Chicago Onscreen Local Film Showcase, a program of the Chicago Park District now in its sixth year.

A panel discussion of the film takes place the Wednesday evening prior, August 21, as part of the monthly McKinley Park Development Council Meeting.
