New Scoreboard

All Omega Delta teams playing at Hoyne Park enjoyed the new scoreboard installed there and active toward the latter half of the season. This major new amenity comes thanks to the Chicago Cubs Diamond Project, which supports capital improvement and equipment grants for youth and community teams throughout Chicago.

Omega Delta league head Danny Gaichas estimated the cost of the new scoreboard at more than $10,000. The activity that the baseball league brings to the park is another benefit powered by Omega Delta, he said.

"Hoyne Park is lively every night with fans, friends and families that come to watch the games,” he said. "We keep the park alive. We keep it safe to come in and be welcoming for everybody."

Fall Ball

Gaichas announced that Omega Delta will be hosting a fall baseball league running September 6 to November 6, 2021, and that sign-up details will be available soon, including on the Omega Delta website at www.omegadeltabaseball.org.

Volunteer coaches are needed for the youth teams, Gaichas said, and groups and enterprises interested in supporting the league can get information on the Omega Delta Sponsorship web page.
