Bethany Baptist Church Welcomes New Pastor

Pastor Brock Brockway of Bethany Baptist ChurchPastor Brock BrockwayBethany Baptist Church at 3532 S. Hoyne Ave. in Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood welcomed its new pastor, Brock Brockway, to his first sermon on Sunday, September 12, 2021, during a service at the historic church. Brockway takes the place of Pastor Darrell Daulton, who moved from Chicago with his family.

Brockway holds a masters of divinity degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor's degree in engineering from Western Michigan University with a minor in Spanish.

He is married, has several children and has lived with his family for more than a decade in Chicago, where he has worked as a technical and global engineering leader at Cargill.

Services and Youth Group

Brockway said he is eager to serve as a pastor at Bethany Baptist through ministries of preaching, evangelism, discipleship, biblical counseling and leadership development.

Church member Linda Voegtlin noted how Bethany Baptist is conducting its sermons and activities outdoors in its large yard and gardens as much as possible, and that the community is welcome to join them. Bethany Baptist's services and programs include Worship Service at 10 a.m. on Sundays and its AWANA Youth Group on Wednesdays.
