Last Farmers Market of the Year, Music at Marz Lined Up This Week in McKinley Park

It's your last chance of the year to get the freshest goods and produce at the McKinley Park Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, at the William McKinley memorial in McKinley Park, 3705 S. Archer Ave., Chicago. Join vendors, neighbors and members of the McKinley Park Advisory Council, which sponsors the market, on Sunday for the final stand until next spring.

Marz Community Brewing Co. again hosts music events this week, including Jazz on Marz with the Jazzeros, a standing music residency on Wednesday nights featuring live jazz from three experimental musicians. DJ Sol Son spins on Friday night, and Lawrence Peters hosts his forward-looking country music stand on Saturday night, all in the Marz tap room.

Sing your favorite tunes at Karaoke Night at One City Tap, on Friday, October 26, with the help of DJ Angel.

Bingo lovers can get their weekly fix at Bingo on Wednesday, October 24, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 3528 S. Hermitage Ave. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

The youngest kids and their caregivers can set the stage for bed at Nightfall Story Time, 6 p.m. on Mondays at the McKinley Park public libary. On Friday mornings, Little Learners Story Time engages babies and toddlers in literacy learning through stories and songs.
