A young man and woman were shot and injured while riding an electric scooter early Sunday night, October 1, 2023, in the 3600 block of South Archer Avenue.
A 21-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest. His scooter-riding companion, a 19-year-old woman, was in fair condition after being shot in the face. The female victim was able to help her companion until an ambulance arrived.
