Published June 10, 2019

The real estate in Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood is again in the news with the Curbed Chicago publication placing McKinley Park among a number of "ideal" neighborhoods in which to purchase a home versus renting. The Curbed article "Where to Live if You'd Rather Buy Than Rent" notes McKinley Park's affordability, its close proximity to downtown and its rapidly appreciating home prices as factors in making the list.

Other Chicago neighborhoods featured in the piece included Rogers Park, Printers Row, Kenwood and Avondale.

The article notes the 17.1 percent year-to-year rise in median home values in McKinley Park as compiled by Zillow, and the service's predicted 7.3 percent rise in McKinley Park's home prices within the next 12 months.
