Streets and parking are set to close in Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood on Thursday, February 15, and Friday, February 16, 2024, for filming of season 11 of the Chicago P.D. TV show.
Between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, February 16, show production will intermittently delay traffic in a stretch of West 37th Street along the north edge of McKinley Park between South Hamilton Avenue and South Archer Avenue.
In addition, no parking zones are set for both sides of South Leavitt Street from West 36th Street south to West 37th Street between 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, until 6 p.m. on Friday, February 16.
No Parking on 37th
Parking is also restricted between between 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, until 6 p.m. on Friday, February 16, on the north side of West 37th Street between 2228 W. 37th St. east to South Leavitt Street.
During this same period on Thursday and Friday, parking is also forbidden on the south side of West 37th Street between South Leavitt Street and South Archer Avenue.
Deli Boys Wraps
Chicago P.D. filming joins other recent shoots that affected McKinley Park neighborhood traffic and streets, including production of The Chi on West Pershing Road and South Winchester Avenue, and the Showtime TV series Deli Boys, which filmed between Wednesday, February 7, and Friday, February 9, along West 35th Street between South Paulina and South Marshfield Avenue.
Although the Deli Boys production had reserved similar film permits for Friday and Saturday, February 15-16, at the same location on 35th Street, City of Chicago data indicates that the film permits' application status is closed, and the production at that location is complete.
