NLEI Board Chair Raul TorresThe National Latino Education Institute (NLEI) in Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood announced the election of Raul Torres as chair of the school's board of directors.
"His corporate experience, commitment to service and values-driven leadership align strongly with NLEI's mission," the institute announced.
Torres has 30 years of experience at Nicor Gas and is currently its director of field operations, having advanced from a design engineer position at the start of his career there.
Impact and Growth
Torres is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago and supports his community through the United Way of Kankakee, NLEI's Business Leadership Council and leadership within his church.
"We are proud to welcome Raul as board chair," the institute announced, noting how Torres will "position the organization for continued impact and growth."
