9th District Seeks Help Identifying Robbers of Paleta Vendor

Help from the community is needed to identify two robbers of a push-cart ice cream vendor at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, in the 3600 block of South Honore Street. Officers from the Chicago Police Department's 9th District shared video and images of the incident, which shows two men approaching and accosting the seller of ice cream paletas.

"The victim was a local vendor who was robbed by the two individuals pictured," said Detective Robert Vahl, working from the 9th District on this crime occurring in Beat 912. Any help "would be great as far as assisting me in attempting to identify the perpetrators."

Vahl called for community members to reach out with any information about the robbers, as well as any nearby neighbors or businesses who captured additional surveillance photos or videos of the suspects.

"Community assistance is always appreciated," Vahl said.
