Get to know other folks here by introducing yourself!

I'll start. I and my wife moved to the McKinley Park neighborhood in 2008, purchasing a former corner storefront fixer-upper. So far, we've done quite a bit of work to our place, mostly infrastructure-related. We love the neighborhood and have a one-year-old who really enjoys the park.

Some of the things I like about McKinley Park include its convenient location: We are home to the geographic center of Chicago! Also, I really like how McKinley Park is nicely spread out and fairly quiet ... it's kind of tucked away in a nearby corner of the city, close to everything, but you'd almost never know it was there if you didn't know to look.
