I'm always honored to be able to share some of what we do with host Mike Stephen and his Outside The Loop radio program on WGN Radio 720-AM, available online on the
OutsideTheLoop.com
website and
RSS feed
, and on streaming and Podcast platforms, including
Apple Podcasts
and

.
The
Outside The Loop Radio #997 episode
provided an opportunity to speak to why and how news organizations should use honest and accurate language to report on ICE activities, a topic I discussed in a post on our forums: "
About Our Reporting on ICE Activity in McKinley Park
."
It was also great to be able to touch on fundamentals of trust in news, and discuss how places like advocacy marketer Public Narrative, the neutered Chicago Independent Media Alliance and Northwestern's non-journalism-accredited Medill School cause the same type of harm to trust in journalism and the news industry as manipulative rightward sources, dancing through a profitable masquerade of fraudulently presenting advocacy as journalism.
This Outside The Loop episode also featured some great music from local band
These Peaches
and comments from its front man, Rich Klevgard. Stephen also connected with Elsie Hernandez and her
Haitian-American Museum of Chicago
.
