As we've done since our founding, the
McKinley Park News welcomes submission of written essays for our
Opinion/Editorial section
(Op/Ed), which has featured numerous authors over the years, including local residents, elected officials, CEOs, comic artists, historians and myself as publisher.
The primary requirement of our Op/Eds is that they connect to our coverage area of Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood, such as a specific local topic or examining how our community is affected by a bigger-picture issue. Other Op/Ed requirements are factual accuracy and intellectual honesty.
No hard deadlines are set for Op/Ed submissions, and our editorial process works with authors in the course of production. We have no word-limit requirements, however, as Shakespeare wrote: "Brevity is the soul of wit."
Send email to info@mckinleypark.news with information about your proposed Op/Ed submission. We look forward to your voice engaging with our neighborhood.
