Hello! I was also disappointed to learn of Everyblock's demise. I responded by starting a Facebook page "McKinley Park Community and Events." I regularly re-post information from this site (hope you don't mind) as well as a host of others and encourage all members to contribute anything pertinent to the community. I wasn't sure if people would care but a ton of folks have told me that they appreciate all the information. If you're on Facebook, please take a moment to join the group!

There is much more that can be done with this Web site and how it connects to the local community. It would be great to see more talk here (along the lines of Everyblock), but I know it takes time to get to that point.

Scott, could you provide the URL for your Facebook group? I'm joining now. One of the things on my to-do list for McKinleyPark.org is to build out the Neighborhood > Web Directory area, and I definitely want to include links to relevant Facebook groups.
