Alderwoman Julia Ramirez announced the opening of feedback for participatory budgeting in the 12th Ward, which covers much of Chicago's McKinley Park neighborhood.

The 12th Ward office is working with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) to determine how $1.5 million in annual neighborhood infrastructure funding gets spent.

They are asking for a survey response from 12th Ward residents, who will rank their top three project types, Ramirez announced in her email newsletter. This and data from 2024 town hall events will inform what projects are considered, including working with city agencies to determine feasibility and costs, and then make final decisions.
