The committee helping to put together Chicago's Birthday Party at 6 p.m. on Wed., Mar. 4, at 37th and Honore met for one final time today at New Archview restaurant to cement the plans for the big event!

Chicago's Birthday Party is going to be fantastic this year, with two student rock bands (from Evergreen Academy Middle School and Horizon Science Academy), mariachi Luis Alfredo, Captain Chicago and special guests, and of course singing Happy Birthday to Chicago in multiple languages.

The event offers great free amenities, including complimentary cake, drinks, hot dogs and snacks, plus info and free merchandise from our community partners and supporters like the Chicago White Sox and others.

We invite you to join the fun this Wednesday! All info is at mckinleypark.org . Many thanks to 12th Ward Alderwoman Julia Ramirez for treating us to cake and coffee at our meeting.
