This past Sunday me and my 2 poodle mixed dogs were attacked by 2 large male pit bulls in McKinley Park between the Field House and the tennis courts facing Western Ave.
My dogs, a good samaritan and I were bitten and injured. The attack last for approximately 5 minutes. The owner was nowhere in sight and the dogs did not have tags.
The dogs where captured by police and animal control. Please be careful with your dogs and children. Ive seen other strays and dogs without a leash throughout the many(6) years I've lived here.
Please be vigilant...especially at night! Walk with another person, have a phone with you and carry pepper spray. This attack occurred on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for the heads-up and warning. These dogs are a danger to both other animals as well as children.

I've seen inconsiderate dog owners walk their dogs without a leash (which is illegal in Chicago). These two sound like wild dogs.
