I attended the News Night event at the new Mouse Arts and Letters Club in Bridgeport, expecting to find opportunities to connect with a group of fellow news professionals.

However, the News Night is more of an exhibit of journalists talking about the subjects of their work instead of the craft of journalism itself, the state of the industry, professional challenges and and shop talk. 

I guess I misunderstood the intent of the evening. It would be nice to attend an event where journalists can confab with each other.
