Aquinas Literacy Center

From our headquarters and learning center at 1751 W. 35th St., Aquinas Literacy Center provides English language learners with free tutoring from a cadre of certified volunteers.

Connect with Aquinas by visiting our center, accessing our website at www.aquinasliteracycenter.org, calling (773) 927-0512, emailing info@aquinasliteracycenter.org or connecting to one of our upcoming events and volunteer tutor training sessions.

Responding to a critical societal need, Aquinas Literacy Center empowers adults by providing English as a Second Language instruction through individualized tutoring in an environment that respects and reverences individuals. We enable learners to transform their lives by acquiring skills to become successful parents, productive workers and responsible citizens.

Aquinas Literacy Center is a community-based organization located in McKinley Park. Founded by the Adrian Dominican Sisters in 1996, ALC has served the immigrant community by offering free individualized instruction in the English language. ALC is committed and invests in the community. Using trained, volunteer tutors, Aquinas serves over 200 learners annually.
