The locally made documentary Exit Zero: An Industrial Family Story screens Monday night, August 26, at the McKinley Park field house.The astounding and extremely popular Midnight Circus is returning to McKinley Park for a series of performances over Labor Day weekend, including a 7 p.m. show on Friday, August 30, a noon show and a 3 p.m. show on Saturday, August 31, and a noon show and a 3 p.m. show on Sunday, September 1. The Exit Zero Film Screening on Monday evening, August 26, presents a fascinating look at the travails of a local steel mill family and what happened to them and their neighborhood when the plant closed. Part of the Chicago Onscreen Local Film Showcase, the night also showcases local documentaries Yesterday and Save It.
Otro Ritmo: South Side Punk Night returns on Tuesday, August 27, at One City Tap for another night of hard-rockin' music and live performance. This edition features a live set from Canal Irreal, plus tracks from house DJs Malice and Orno, as well as guests DJ Hot Dog and Nightfreak.
Marz Community Brewing Company brings back live stand-up on Thursday, August 29, at the Yeast Party Comedy Night. The tap room again hosts its Jazz on Marz with the Jazzeros live sets on Wednesday, August 28, and the Drink and Draw boozy doodling session on Tuesday, August 27. DJs lined up for next weekend include the crew from 606 Records spinning on Friday, August 30, and Gary T on Saturday, August 31.

The McKinley Park Farmers Market begins its last month this season of bringing fresh goods and produce to the neighborhood this Sunday, September 1. Yoga at the Farmers Market starts the day, with Bocce Ball and other lawn games available throughout, thanks to the McKinley Park Advisory Council.
